The inaugural edition of the Archery Premier League (APL), organized by the Archery Association of India (AAI), is set to commence with a spectacular opening ceremony on 2nd October 2025 at 7 PM at Yamuna Sports Complex, Anand Vihar, New Delhi. The grand event will witness the presence of Global Star Ram Charan, the league’s Brand Ambassador, who will officially inaugurate this landmark sporting league.
The Archery Premier League, a first-of-its-kind franchise-based tournament, will bring together India’s best archers along with top international talent, aiming to elevate the sport’s stature nationally and globally. Featuring six competitive franchises, the league will see 36 of India’s leading recurve and compound archers competing alongside 12 elite international athletes, including some ranked in the world’s top 10.
For the first time in world archery, the APL introduces a unique mixed format where recurve and compound archers will compete together under lights. This format is one of its kind aimed to enhance the sport’s spectator appeal.
The tournament, scheduled from 2nd to 12th October 2025 at the Yamuna Sports Complex, New Delhi, has received strong backing from World Archery, World Archery Asia, and the Sports Ministry of India.
With the Archery Association of India driving this initiative and Global Star Ram Charan lending his global influence, the Archery Premier League promises to be a turning point for Indian archery – combining world-class sporting action with unmatched visibility.
